At Aristides Fine Jewels, we have a wide selection of beautiful engagement rings of all different styles perfect for every taste. We understand that it can be challenging to find the right ring. In order to help you, we have put together a guide on what to consider when looking to buy, including the type of stone cut, the setting of the ring and budget.
Different Shapes of Diamonds
In order to pick the perfect engagement ring, you must evaluate which style or shape of stone is most suitable for your soon to be bride. The different stone shapes include pear, emerald, round and oval shaped. The round and oval shape are very popular as they are timeless and classic. However, if you are looking for something a little different or a sharper, edgier look, consider an emerald, pear or marquise.
Setting
Depending on what preferences your bride has, there are a range of gold colours, bands and number of claws holding the stone available. The different golds include yellow gold, rose gold, white gold and platinum. The bands can have diamonds set into the bang giving the ring a bit more sparkle or can be classically plain for a simpler look. The number of claws for the setting is dependent on the size and cut of the stone. For example, an emerald or oval cut diamond will most likely require four claws, but a pear cut diamond may only need three claws. There is also the option of having the whole stone encased on the band which can be embedded with smaller diamonds or plain.
Budget
If you are after a quality large diamond, it is worth considering a lab grown diamond. It is impossible to tell the difference between a lab and earth diamond with the naked eye, and lab grown diamonds are more affordable. We have options for all tastes and budgets.
